من مسافرم ،

       I'm a traveler 

 

  مسافری تنها

  

      A lonely traveler

  

 

از دیار آشنا

 

     From the familiar land

  

 

به این غربت کده وکویر ریگ زار آمدم

 

    To this place of loneliness and gravelly desert I came

 

  تا

 

   So that to

  

 

قدمم را روی سخره دنیا بگذارم

 

   Step on the rock of life

 

 و خانه ای را

 

  And a house

  

 

 در کویرخالی، از گل بنا نهم

 

  To build in the desert, of mud

  

 

 تا عمری را

 

   So a lifetime

 

  درتنهایی و هجران سپری نمایم

 

   To spend in solitude and separateness

 

   و در

 

   And in 

  

 

 آرزوی پرواز

 

  Wish of flight

 

   

 لحظه ای به غیر نپردازم

 

  Not a second to be distracted by others

 

  

و شب را

 

 And the night

 

  در تنهایی با انتظار صبح کنم

 

  In loneliness I wait for the dawn

 

 

و اشک غربت را

 

   And tears of seclusion

 

  

 در جمعه ها

 

  On Fridays

 

 

 به پای یاردیر آشنا بریزم.

 

  I drop at his feet, the ever-known companion

 

 

و لکه خون دل را

 

  And the blood-drop of heart

 

 

 

با اشک چشم دل بشویم.

 

To wash with tear of heart's eye

 

 

و سر را

 

 And the head

 

  

 بر بالین زمان نهم و به فراسو نگاه کنم

 

 I rest on the pillow of time and look far beyond

 

  

 که درازی آن

 

Length of which

 

  

به اندازه طول موج سکوت من است 

 

  Is as long as the wavelength of my quietness

 

  

 از سوسوی نور انتهای کویر چشم بر ندارم

 

  

To the glimmer from the end of desert I not a moment close my eyes

 

و تن را

 

 

And the body

 

 

  

 

در مسیر باد قرار دهم

 

 I put downwind (in the direction of wind)

 

 

 وبا باد (هم) نجوا و هم نوا شوم

 

 And in harmony and accord ( unity) with wind

 

 

 ترانه رهایی نجوا کنم،

 

I whisper the song of freedom

 

 

و دل را

 

 And the heart

 

 

 

در کویرپاسداری کنم نمایم

 

 To guard in desert

 

 

 

و از نسیم شب

 

 And from the breeze of night

 

 

به سما درآیم

 

I spiritually move to the enlightenment

 

 

و با ندای باد پرواز کنم.

 

And with call of wind to fly

 

 

و ازهمه شن زارها عبور کنم

 

And all lands of sand to pass

 

 

نور را

 

 The light

 

 

 

 درتونل زمان  

 

In tunnel of time

 

 

راه را

 

The path

 

 

 

 در کوچه های لیلی 

 

 In Leili's alleys (the beloved's alleys)

 

 

خود را

 

 Myself

 

 

 

 در سرگردانی کوی زندگی

 

In wondering through (in) the mountain of life

 

 

 پیدا کنم

 

 To find

 

 

 

 عشق را

 

Love

 

 

در هجران و بی لیلی

 

In separateness and away from Leili(the beloved)

 

 

و درد را

 

And pain

 

 

 

 درسلامت جسم در شب لیله القدر 

 

 In body's health at the night of LayLato-Al-Ghadr (A holy night in Islam in which all deeds of people in a year are being reckoned by Angels and their next year's fate is determined)

 

  

 

غم را

 

 Sadness

 

 

 

در غم خانه لیلی و در فراق یار

 

 In woeful house of Leili(the beloved) and separateness from the companion

 

 

 

محبت را

 

 Affection

 

 

 

در توبه

 

In repentance

 

 

توجه را

 

Attention

 

 

 

در حضور

 

In spiritual presence

 

 

صبر را

 

 Patience

 

 

 

 در بدترین شرایط روحی

 

In the worst mental condition

 

 

پرواز را

 

 The flight

 

 

 

 در تزکیه نفس  

 

In purifying the physical soul

 

 

آزادی روح را

 

 Freedom of spirit

 

 

 

 در ریاضت نفس

 

In mortifying the physical soul

 

 

نگاه را

 

 The look

 

 

 

 در تاریکی شب

 

In darkness of night

 

 

محراب را

 

 The altar

 

 

 

 در نماز شب

 

In night's prayer

 

 

عمر ناسوتی را

 

The temporal life

 

 

 

 در اسارت خانه

 

In prison-house

 

 

عمر ملکوتی را

 

 The divine life

 

 

 

 در حضور 

 

In spiritual presence

 

 

جهنم را

 

Hell

 

 

در سردی وجود

 

In the spiritless being

 

 

بهشت را

 

 Paradise

 

 

 

 در حضور

 

In presence

 

 

رستگاری را

 

 Salvation

 

 

 

در مرگ انفاس

 

In death of physical souls

 

 

سرودن شعر را

 

 Composing the poem

 

 

 

 در هجران

 

In loneliness

 

 

گرمی آتش را

 

The warmth of fire

 

 

 

 در برزخ

 

In Purgatory

 

 

یار را

 

 The companion

 

 

 

 در غمخانه لیلی

 

In woeful house of Leili(the beloved)

 

 

تنهایی را

 

 Solitude

 

 

 

 با دوری شیرین

 

By being away from sheerin(the beloved)

 

 

ذکر را

 

 The divine remembrance

 

 

 

 در سودای قلب

 

In heart's grief

 

 

سیر را

 

 Seir (Spiritual movement)

 

 

 

 در سرای نیلگون حقیقت

 

In azure world of truth

 

 

حضور را

 

 Presence

 

 

 

 در کوچه های خلوت دل 

 

In unfrequented alleys of heart

 

 

 

 وگرمی وجود را

 

 And the warmth of existence

 

  

 

در نماز عشق پیدا کنم
